100%! Loved this! If we stop ourselves from trying because we will be bad, we will never try anything! xxx

Amen to that, you don't have to be good or perfect at something to enjoy it! The product might not be as important as the process, and it's totally cool if the process is kind of messy.

I've missed your posts! So happy to see this pop up in my inbox today!

Yes. Absolutely. "I want to tell her that this is not the path I’d like to guide her down. That we are meant for wildness and exploration and, sometimes, failure. That process is as important as product."

“You can experience great joy in doing things badly.” & “reckless commitment to joy” Yeeeesss!! Also, I was recently at the library and came across a DVD (lol I’m 100 years old) of a movie Owen Wilson made playing a verrrry Bob Ross-esque character. My partner suggested they didn’t get the rights to the proper story, but it’s merely a fictional story about a guy whose characteristics borrow from Ross. Weird! But also maybe interesting?? I might want to see this movie, you? (Also, my sister in law sent me Bob Ross mints shaped like “happy little trees” and live happily on my desk🌲🌲) RIP Bob Ross - should he go on our day of the dead altars?? - but give me all the sloppy, chaotic, freedom-bound joy! 🎨

"You can experience great joy in doing things badly." A big part of my identity is as a runner, but I'm slow and only getting slower, but I still love it.
